A walk or bike ride in the middle of nature is an ideal activity for many to clear the mind. Camping Groeneveld is perfectly located for this, in the middle of the Leie region.
A trip to the beautiful Zwalm region or the Flemish Ardennes is also an absolute must. Just like the coast, which is less than three quarters of an hour away by car.
For culture enthusiasts, not only are the cities of Ghent and Bruges within reach, but the area surrounding the campsite also offers various cultural activities.

An activity for all ages: cycling
Are you a cycling enthusiast? Then you’re in luck! Our campsite proudly bears the label of ‘Bike-Friendly Accommodation in Flanders.’ This not only means that we have a bicycle shed, but also that we rent out bicycles and and meet a whole list of requirements to obtain the label.
Do you want to explore the surroundings or visit Ghent without the stress of traffic and looking for parking spot? Turn it into a sporty activity and hop on a bike or rent an e-bike! It’s completely free for everyone staying at Camping Groeneveld.

Water fun: the perfect summer activity
Swimming in open water? In Belgium, there are few places where this is allowed. However, just 3 km from Camping Groeneveld lies Vosselare Put, an tributary of the old Leie. Here, you can enjoy sunbathing, water games, or just seek some refreshment.
Do you prefer swimming in an indoor pool? Then you can visit Palaestra in Deinze.
Fancy a sporty activity that most people associate with the Ardennes? For 15 euros, we rent out kayaks, allowing you to explore the Leie in a different way. This is exclusively available for our guests! But there’s more: the people of Deinze Kayakt will also provide you with a fun day full of kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) fun.

With our user-friendly booking tool, you can quickly secure your stay. Enter all your preferences, and you’ll immediately receive a clear overview of the cost. At this point, you can still make changes. If you have specific requests regarding your camping spot, be sure to mention them in the designated field. We will take these into account as much as possible and will contact you if necessary. You can send all other questions and comments through our online form.
After entering your personal details, you’ll receive a summary with all the information again. Only when you click on ‘confirm reservation’ your booking is completed.
